A lie in and a sea day

After Bonaire we were headed for St Vincent (but not the Grenadines) and today was a sea day. We had a bit of a lie in as, heading East, the sunrise would be forward and we are aft. Being suite dwellers we can go to the Epicurean for breakfast, whereas other more lowly cabin types can’t. We traipsed down to the other end of the ship and were welcomed with open arms by the guy on the desk. They love us suite dwellers in the Epicurean. I must say the breakfast was really good.

Great breakfast

We returned to the suite and sat out on the balcony until the 30 degree sun came overhead (it was at this point I got a bit sunburn) then retired indoors. Ian went off for a run at the gym and I went to sit in the atrium to read for a bit. I wrote my blogs and just chilled. It was lovely to basically do nothing.

Chilling

After Ian came back he decided to try some acupuncture on his bad ankle at the Oasis Spa, so off he went
again, while I watched the footy and showered ready for tea. We will let you know if the acupuncture worked later in the holiday when he finds out! He also spotted a pod of frolicking dolphins from the gym window, which he was really excited about.
While he was out, the sun went down, spectacularly, over the Sunny Caribbean Sea.

Can’t beat the view

It was another black tie evening, so we glammed up again and went for a drink in Sindhus bar area. We were giving the main dining room another try, and in fairness it was much better. The food was nice and the waiters more pleasant. They did not fetch us our chocolates at the end though. I could have flagged one down but we were full and didn’t really want them. It’s the principle though!

A nice passion fruit martini

After tea we had our first venture to the theatre to see a lady singing about New York. Well we had to didn’t we!? She was ok but we both nearly nodded off. Her dress was very sparkly. Then it was time for bed. All this sitting around is exhausting.
